Companionship and personal support

Our companionship and personal support services are designed to help people feel supported, connected, and confident in their day-to-day lives.

Support may include:

• Friendly companionship and conversation

• Support getting out and about

• Help with shopping, appointments, and errands

• Gentle assistance with daily routines

• Encouragement to stay active and engaged

All support is provided one-to-one, at a comfortable pace, and shaped around familiar routines and preferences.

Supporting independence at home

Many people want to remain living independently at home but may benefit from some additional support or reassurance.

We provide practical, flexible support that helps individuals:

• Maintain familiar routines

• Feel confident and safe at home

• Stay connected to their community

• Continue doing the things that matter to them

Support is adapted as needs change, always with respect for independence and personal choice.

Memory loss and dementia support

We also provide personal support and companionship for individuals living with memory loss or dementia.

Support is delivered in a calm, familiar, and consistent way, focusing on reassurance, routine, and quality of life. We work at the individual’s pace and adapt support to suit changing needs.

Families are kept informed and reassured, with clear and open communication.

Availability & Fees

Support is provided on a one-to-one basis in regular weekly time blocks, allowing consistency, familiarity, and meaningful engagement to develop over time.

A minimum commitment of 4 hours per week per client applies.

The standard hourly rate for weekday support is £25 per hour.

Support outside standard weekday hours, including evenings or weekends, may be available by arrangement and may be charged at a higher rate.

All support arrangements are discussed and agreed in advance following an informal conversation, to ensure the right fit for everyone involved.

Yes. Dementia-aware companion support is available for individuals living with early to mid-stage memory loss, with an emphasis on familiarity, routine, and calm, consistent support.
